So long as it can still retrieve the basic data, like username, avatar, and the post data, that's all it cares about.UPDATE 11.09pm: Paradox has disabled the beta version of its new mobile sci-fi strategy title Stellaris: Galaxy Command, after the discovery that some of the imagery used within the game by developer Gamebear had been lifted wholesale from Halo art.įollowing Galaxy Command's reveal earlier today, astute fans quickly noticed that artwork featured in the game bore a striking resemblance to Halo 4 concept work created by 343 Industries' technical art director Kenny Magnusson, as found on his Artstation portfolio. And even there, having added new tables, or rows to existing tables, makes no difference whatsoever. It goes right into the database directly. The official vBulletin app doesn't care for what you've done to the vBulletin files on your server, or how you've customized the templates, or anything like that. That won't entirely eliminate the need for template edits, but it does substantially reduce the effort needed.Īll this is kind of beside the point though. This allows you to insert customizations to the templates without having to alter them from stock. Under the "Plugins & Products" menu in your admin CP, you should be able to simply create a plugin to automatically insert your desired code at the appropriate hook location. There's very very little that you're doing in the style which appears to be off-stock, so if you have to fix templates every time you install a vB update, then you're either doing something really funky (like putting all your colour customizations in the templates directly instead of using the stylevar system), or you're just making things harder than they need to be. Because honestly, as someone running a large vBulletin installation myself, it *does* work like that. Castelleon, I have a feeling that we're using the same terminology in different ways, and that's getting us both confused.
